White Rock Elementary
WRE offers a wide variety of programs and services in order to meet the needs of all students including (but notlimited to) school counseling, special education support, band, orchestra, honor choir, after-school care, REACHand other Gifted services, Bot Ball coding club, and technology & media integration.
HISTORY
Richardson ISD opened White Rock Elementary in September 1961 with 14 classrooms, a cafeteria, agym and 367 students. WRE now has over 900 students and has been beautifully renovated giving us a new front office, clinic, cafeteria, a second gym, new floors, fresh paint & tile and additional classrooms. New landscaping, an outdoor pavilion outside the new cafeteria, a staff parking lot and playground areas surrounding WRE make the grounds inviting, pleasing to the eye and functional. Students, parents and community enjoy our school during school hours, after school hours and throughout the weekend. WRE has been an Exemplary school and continues to challenge and prepare students for a global future.
