Get Involved — Volunteer!
When adults volunteer, all students benefit! There are many opportunities for parents and community members to get involved!
Here are some current ways to get involved:
WRE Fuel Squad - Sign Up Genius
We are looking for parents to volunteer in our amazing cafeteria. You will be helping kids that need assistance opening lunch packaging, helping with trash pick-up, encouraging positive cafeteria behavior and following lunchtime guidelines. Start by signing up for one or two volunteer spots. This is a great way for you to volunteer at WRE!
WRE Book Fair
October 17th & 25th - Decorating & Tear Down
October 18th & 21st - Preview Days
October 22nd-25th - Shopping Days
Our book fair is 100% run by volunteers, so we’d love to see anyone who is able to find a time to come help out. Even if you’re unable to volunteer, please make time to come and shop as this is the ONLY fundraiser for our library each year!
In order to volunteer for the 2024-2025 school year, please fill out the background check--this is required on an annual basis. RISD requires that all volunteers complete a background check.
Every person that desires to volunteer in RISD must complete an online volunteer account, online orientation and background check. To access the VOLY platform go to https://risd.voly.org and:
- Create your volunteer account
- Follow all prompts as you create your account including agreeing to the background check.
- Save your volunteer profile
- Complete the online orientation and sign it electronically.
You will receive an email that you have a registered Voly account with RISD. You were also receive an email that you have a cleared background check within 24 hours.
