RISD Tax Ratification Election (TRE)

The RISD Board of Trustees reached consensus on

RISD’s 2018-19 operating budget and formally called a

tax ratification election to ask voters to raise the district’s operating tax rate.

Trustees seek to raise RISD’s operating tax rate

from its current level of $1.04 to $1.17. If approved, the change

would raise the property taxes on an average

value home by $24.66 a month, or $296 annually.

Voting will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 6 as part of the General Election.

More info here.
